We offer two forms of membership: paying and non-paying. Our Arena's, are a Silica sand base, topped with PVC Granules, which provides a proven, frost resistant, all-weather surface. We are located near Oldham in beautiful, open countryside representing the best of the north’s open spaces. Our facilities consist of 39 stables, two new arenas and impressive farmland backdrop for your training or leisure use.

LIGHTING

All facilities are flood lit with stadium grade lighting for those darker winter nights. If you would like to take advantage of enjoying night riding our lighting prices are as follows:

Jumping Arena £1 for 6mins

Flatwork Arena £1 for 6mins

We cater to all users, from the absolute beginner needing to train with horses for the first time right up to experienced users improving their skills for competitions.

HCF offers Jumping and Flatwork Arena's 7 days a week between 6am and 8pm.

PAID MEMBERSHIP

Your own personal stable at Higher Counthill Farm with clearly stated rental start and end dates.
There is no charge for the washrooms, but they must be booked in advance for 15-minute slots.
The maximum alloted time in the washroom is 3 hours.
Daily bookings from 6am till 8pm 7 days a week.
You need only specify additional horses you intend to take into our Arenas.
Users are limited to 10 horses in the arena (This includes the lead horse).
As a stable owner you will be able to view your horse in the stable 24/7.

NON-PAID MEMBERSHIP

Paying membership is not suitable for everyone. That’s why we offer competitive rates for your equestrian activities. As stated above, paying membership of Higher Counthill Farm allows free (bookable) use of most facilities.

Non-paying members may book our Arena at any time at the cost of £25 for a one-hour slot for jumping and £20 for a one-hour session of flat arena use.

Users are limited to 10 horses in the arena charged at £25 for the lead horse plus £5 for each additional horse.
Stable hire costs start from £34 per week.
Daily bookings from 6am till 8pm 7 days a week.
You can book a recording for both Arena's at £8 an hour.
You can purchase your shavings, bedding and hay bales directly from HCF.
